Makayla's POV:

It's the next morning and I wake up with Mal cuddled into me with her head in my chest. I look at the time to see that it's 7 in the morning and I know the team has to be down for breakfast at half-past so I kiss Mal's forehead then her cheek. Mal starts to stir making me smile. I kiss her gently on the lips and she kisses me back. We pull away and Mal slowly opens her eyes.

"Morning Mally". Mal smiles softly and yawns.

"Morning Kayla, How long have you been awake"?

"Not long". Mal nods.

"You ready for today beautiful"? I shake my head no. "Not really no. I'm terrified".

Mal holds my hand. "I'm sure they'll understand".

"Yeah".

"Come on let's get ready for breakfast. If you want we can see Riley before we go down"?

"Yeah, that will be good thank you".

"Yeah, of course, you don't need to thank me babe. But we need to get ready".

Mal helped me put my prosthetic legs on and then we got dressed. We grabbed our keycards to the room and I grabbed the one to Sophie and Riley's room that I was given.

We took the elevator up to the floor and surprisingly weren't seen by anyone. The elevator arrived and we headed to the room. I scanned the keycard and knocked before opening the door.

The sight we saw was cute, Sophie was laid on her bed and Riley was no longer on her bed but was now laid on Sophie's bed and they were both asleep

I went over to Riley and kissed her forehead.

"Riley, It's time to wake up".

Riley turns around and she slowly opens her eyes before stretching and yawning.

"Morning Mommy".

"Morning Riley".

Riley looks and sees Mal. "Morning Mally".

"Mal smiles. "Morning Riley, Did you sleep well"?

"Yeah, I did". Riley smiles and holds her hands out so I smile and pick her up.

"You ready to meet the team today"? Riley hides her face in me.

"Awww are you scared"? Riley nods.

"Awww, you'll be okay Riley, You already know Mally and me and Sophie will be there as well".

"Mommy"? Riley lifts her head to look at me.

"Yeah"?

"Can Auntie Lucy come as well"?

"Will that make you feel better"? Riley nods.

"Okay you stay here and wake Auntie Sophie up and Mally and I will go talk to Auntie Lucy, Okay"? Riley nodded.

Mal and I left and headed to Lucy and Nikitas room. I knocked on the door and a few seconds later Nikita answered.

"Hey, you two what's up"?

"Hey, keets is Luce up"?

"Not yet no. Come in". Nikita let us in and we walked in to see Lucy still in bed. I smirk and go into the bathroom. Once I've got what I wanted I go back out to see Mal and Nikita look confused until they see what I'm holding then they smile.

I walk over next to Lucy and dump the cup of water on her.

"WHAT THE FUCK"! Lucy screams and jumps up. We all burst out laughing.

Lucy looks at me. "What did you do that for"?

"To wake you up". I say in a duh tone.

Lucy rolls her eyes. "Why"?

"We're telling the USA team about Riley today and Riley wants you with her as she's nervous. So would you look after her while we tell the team and then we call you in"?

"Yeah of course".

"Okay thank you. Bye". Mal and I leave and head down for breakfast.

We walked into the breakfast room to see pretty much everyone else there.

"There's the young couple". Kelley says making me roll my eyes.

Lauren walks over to us. "Makayla the Chef has your morning shake for you".

"Thank you, Cheney".

"No problem. Go get your breakfast. Also, when are you wanting to tell the team"?

"Not till later. Lucy will be coming as well if that's okay? Riley wants her with her".

"Yeah that's completely fine. Go get your breakfasts". Mal and I go to get out breakfasts. She goes to get her usual and I head to the chef who hands me my shake.

Once I've got it I turn around and go sit with Mama, Christen, Kelley and Alex. Whereas Mal goes and sits with Sam, Rose, Emily, Hailey and Dylan.

Everyone says morning and I say morning back. The rest of breakfast I sit quietly panicking about later today.

"Babe". Mal whispers in my ear and I look at her.

"Come with me". Mal pulls me up and walks me over to where no one else is. I can see some of the team looking at me worried which makes it worse. Luckily, Mal notices and we swap so she's now facing the team and I'm only looking at her as the wall is behind her.

"Babe calm down". Mal whispers.

"I can't". I can feel my heartbeat increasing.

"You can. Just take deep breaths". I try but I can't.

My breathing is getting worse which makes me panic even more.

"Baby look at me". I look at Mal.

"Good now breath with me okay". I nod.

"Okay now breathe in". I breathe in. "Okay now out". I breathe out.

"Slower. Breathe in". I breathe in too fast. "Out". Once again I breathe too fast.

"Baby you need to slow your breathing, you're breathing too fast". I try to speak but I can't.

Mal suddenly kisses me passionately and I relax into her and kiss her back forgetting about everything. We pull away and my breathing is normal and mal smiles at me.

"How did you"?

"I figured It would distract you". I smile and rest my head into her chest and she wraps her arms around me protectively.

"We don't have to tell them today if you don't want to". Mal whispers.

"No, I need to".

"You don't have to do anything".

"I can do it. I know I can especially if you're with me".

"I'll be with you".

"Can we do it now"?

"If you want to. I'll go tell Lauren". I nod and stay there while Mal goes and talks to Lauren. I message Sophie and Lucy and tell them what's happening.

A few seconds later Mal comes back and wraps her arms around me and Lauren goes to the front of the room.

"Okay everyone, we have a little meeting right now and I need you to listen to this person and don't interrupt them. If you want to ask questions that's fine but wait until the end okay"? The team either nods or say yes.

"Okay, Mal and Makayla come over here". Mal and I walk over hand in hand. Lauren whispers quickly. "Everything will be okay". I nod and she goes and sits down.

I take a deep breath and hold mals hand tighter and she rubs her thumb on my fingers relaxing me.

I then spend about five minutes going over everything I told Mal to the team and once I finish I look up for the first time and everyone is shocked.

Lauren then speaks up. "If you have a question put your hand up and Makayla will say you're name when to ask and she will answer".

The majority of the team raise their hands. I decide to go with the more mature team members.

"Carli"?

"Is she here"? I see a couple of hands go down.

"Yeah, she's with Sophie as well as Lucy and maybe some others of the England team". Carli nods.

"Julie"?

"What is she like"?

I smile. "Shy's shy with new people but as soon as she knows you she's crazy. She loves watching movies and listening to music. She loves to play and run around and she loves to play games".

I see a few hands sill up including Mama's and I look down.

"Mama"?

"Can I ask two questions"? I nod still looking down.

"Why didn't you tell us"?

"I was busy with work and I was scared that's why I never talked to you during the year as I was busy working and also looking after Riley".

"It's okay I just wanted to know".

"What's the second question"?

"When can we meet her"? I look up and I see everyone else's hand go down making me smile.

"I'll ask". I message Sophie asking what they're doing. 

She messages back not long later.

"Okay, they're having breakfast with the England team at the minute so they'll be a while".

"That's okay, can we see a picture of her"? Hailey asks.

I nod and grab my phone out of my pocket and unlock it. I go into my gallery and find the album that is filled with videos and photos of Riley. I find one of the best ones and send it in the group chat so everyone can see it.

"Look in the group chat".

Everyone gets their phones out and Awwww's are heard all around.

I smile at their reactions.

My phone rings so I look and see it's Sophie.

"Hey what's up"?

"Makayla we need you, We told Riley we were about to meet the team and she started panicking. Lucy is trying to calm her down but it isn't working. Get here now".

"Shit, okay where are you"?

"In our room, We brought her up here".

"Okay, I'll be right there". I hang up the phone "Mal come with me everyone else please stay here".

I don't wait for their replies as I run out of the room and Mal follows. I don't even wait for the elevator and instead, I run up the stairs.

Mal follows me as we run up the stairs till we get to the right floor. I open the door and see Sophie standing outside the room door.

"MAKAYLA HURRY"! I run into the room to see Lucy holding Riley.

Riley is cuddled into Lucy's chest and is struggling to breathe

"Shit". I run to my bag and open up the small compartment to find Riley's inhaler and the chamber for it.

I shake the inhaler and remove the cap before inserting it into the chamber.

"Riley".

Riley turns to me still gasping for air so I hand her the inhaler. Riley remembers what to do so she wheezily breathes out before pressing the inhaler once and she wheezily breathes it in slowly. Riley held her breath for a few seconds then slowly released.

"Good now again like the doctor told you".

Riley nodded then repeated the process. She then handed it to me and I took the inhaler out and put the cap back on before putting them back in my bag. Riley cuddled back into Lucy's chest.

"What just happened"? Lucy asked and I looked to see that she and Mal looked worried.

"Hey, Riley why don't me and you go to Auntie Steph's room". Sophie says which Riley agrees and they leave.

"I'm sorry you two I didn't tell you. A while ago Riley started having trouble breathing so Sophie and I took her to the doctors and they ran some tests. They found out that she has stress-induced asthma so they tried an inhaler for her and it worked so now whenever she gets stressed or even scared it's like she has a panic attack but it's different. It's literally just asthma but only when she's stressed or scared. I'm sorry I didn't tell any of you".

"Hey, it's okay Makayla you told us now". Lucy responds.

"Yeah, Plus I only found out about Riley yesterday so I don't expect you told me everything about her". Mal says smiling.

I smile at them both. "Thank you both for understanding". I bring both of them in for a hug. Mal suddenly pulls away.

"Whats up Mally"?

"I have an idea".

Mal then tells us her idea which was an amazing idea. We then made a few calls and then after about half an hour the plan was finished. All we needed now was the 4 year old.

Mal went to go to Steph's room to get Riley and Sophie while Lucy and I made sure everything was set up and working.

A few minutes later Mal came back in holding Riley and Sophie followed behind.

"Mummy do I have to meet the team right now I'm scared"?

"No baby, Mally had an idea that would help you. Now come sit on the bed". Mal put Riley down who then came and sat on the bed.

I then put my laptop next to her and played the video. It was a video of the whole team saying hi to Riley and then they all introduced themselves separately by saying their name, age, and something they like.

Riley watched the video and listened to what everyone said as well as laughing at some of them argue over who is the better Aunt.

"That video was funny Mummy".

"Yeah, are you still scared to meet all of the team"? Riley nods.

"How about you choose who you want to meet first. You choose as many as you'd like".

"Can I watch the video again"? I nod and play the video again.

Riley paused the video a few times at who she wants to meet right now. I made a list of the ones she chose.

I then made a separate group chat and added the four girls into it.

"Okay, they're on the way up. You ready Riley"?

Riley nodded.
