Makayla's POV:

I woke up and looked at my alarm clock to see that it was around half Nine on Friday Morning. So I got up and got a quick shower and got dressed into a pair of joggers and a short sleeve t-shirt.

I walked downstairs and went into the kitchen to see Mama and Momma both talking while drinking their coffee and eating breakfast. They turned and smiled at me so I smiled back.

"Morning Mk" "Morning". I went and quickly made my normal breakfast shake and started drinking it.

Hailey walked into the kitchen in her Pj's making me laugh at her.

Hailey glared at me. "Hey, it's your fault for talking to Dylan all night". I smirked at her and her face turned to shock. Everyone knew they liked each other but both of them were too scared to admit it to the other. Hailey hit me hard on my arm so I hit her back.

Hailey was going to hit me again but my phone rang so I looked and it was an unknown caller.

I answered it "Hello"?

"Hi, is this Makayla Heath"? A woman replied.

"Yes, this is she". 

"Good, I'm Laura Harvey the head coach of the U20 National Team. We've been watching you for a while and we want to invite you to the team camp in a few weeks time. That is if you are interested?"

"Oh my god yes thank you so much I'd be honoured to come and play for you".

"Great. Well send your email to this number and I'll send you the details on there".

"Thank you so much". 

"You're welcome and thank you. I'll see you in two weeks. Bye now".

"Bye". I hung up and couldn't speak or stop smiling.

Everyone was looking at me confused.

"Everything okay Mk"? Mama asked.

I nodded my head. "Yeah, that was Laura Harvey".

"As in"? Momma asked.

I nodded. "I've been called up to the U20 camp that is in two weeks".

They all hugged me and congratulated me.

I went upstairs to my room and decided to call Mal.

"Hay Kayla. Everything okay"?

"Yes. Everything's perfect". Mal looked at me to continue.

"I've just been called up to play for the U20 Team". Mal's face turned to shock.

"Babe I'm so proud of you".

"Thanks, Mally".

We continued talking for a while. Due to our very busy schedules, we both have we find it hard to find a perfect time to call when we both aren't busy or asleep due to the time difference. Luckily, we've made it work so far.

A couple of days later:

Obviously, Mama told the team and we all celebrated over a group video call.

Now it's Sunday and I'm going for a drive to record a little update for my youtube channel.

I started recording and sat in my car. "What's up guys, how we all doing"? I started the engine and my music started blaring and worth it by Fifth Harmony came on. "Oops. Give it to me I'm worth it. Copyright I'm worth it". I laughed and turned the music off. "Damn I need a recording album with all parodies on".

I set off and started talking about how my week had been. "Okay guys I need you to stay calm for this okay. You calm? Good. I got a phone call the other day and I have been called up to the U20 National Team. Like Oh My God. I've finally made it". I stopped at a red light at a junction and continued freaking out to the camera.

The light turned green and I continued straight on.

The next thing I knew was Darkness.

Absolute Darkness.
