Makayla's Pov:

"Okay, so we all need to talk".

Hailey speaks first saying what I wanted to say "What about exactly"?

"Quite a lot of things actually. First Hailey do we need to take a trip to Los Angeles to get some of your things"?

Hailey thought about it for a minute.

"I think I pretty much have what I need I'll just need some new clothes. I can ask Anna if she can send some of my important things if that's easier for you"?

"It's your choice Hailey, we can easily change our flights". Hailey nodded "If it's okay with you that would be good"? Mama and I nodded.

"Okay, Hailey I have some teammates going to be sorting your room out. Is there any styles you specifically like or anything you really need in it? Hailey pulled her phone out and went onto Google and found some images she liked and sent them to Mama with a list of some things she wanted.

"Kind of a mixture of them would be nice if they could". Mama nodded.

"Okay I'll send them to the girls and they'll work on it".

I smiled "Mama is Kling included in working on it"?

Mama smiled "Yeah but Sinc and some other girls are there so they're keeping an eye on her at all times".

"That's good then". Mama smiled and nodded "Yep who knows what would happen if she was unsupervised". Mama and I laughed

"Another thing. Hailey since in a couple of days we'll be going to Portland and in the same house as her, I'm going to have Christine Sinclair message you and ring you during these days so you can get to know her a bit first is that okay"? Hailey nodded.

"Don't worry Hails Sinc is really nice. She's a second Mum to me". Hailey smiled and nodded "That's good then I'm sure I'll get along well with her".

"Okay, two more things. One I know you already know but I just wanted us all to talk about it. Christen and I aren't together at the minute but we are going on some dates before we leave and then we'll go from there. Also when we play each other in the league we will be staying at each other's houses instead of staying in a hotel as we both have enough spare rooms. Is that okay with the both of you"?

"Yes of course it is okay Mama. I can see how much you care about each other".

"Yeah same here . I know I haven't been here long or know everyone enough yet but I can see how close you are".

"Okay thank you girls I just wanted to be sure that you are fine with it". 

"Lastly, Hailey, since you'll be coming to Portland you will be transferred to Lincoln High as it's a five -minute walk from the stadium and about a twenty-minute drive to the house". Hailey nodded "Yeah that sounds good thank you".

"Mk do you want to give the school a chance with Hailey or do you still want to do it online"?

Once again the thought of school sent me into a panic "Online please Mama I don't want to go".

"Hey, it's okay Mk you don't have to go if you don't want to. You can continue with online".

I took a deep breath. "Thank you".

"Okay, I think that's everything".

"Mama, what time is it"? Mama looked at her phone. "Ummm it's about quarter to six. Why"?

"I was wondering if it's team bonding tonight"?

Just then both Mama's and Christen's phones went off and only Mama checked hers as they knew it was from someone on the team. "Yes Mk we do now and it's in the meeting room".

I immediately smiled and accidentally let out a "Yess". They all looked at me confused so I grabbed my phone and key card and ran out of the room and down to the lobby.

I was the first one in there apart from Coach Cheney and Dawn and the other staff.

Cheney smiled at me. "I guess you realised what team bonding is today"? I nodded and was beaming.

"Okay go sit down and act normal. We will just tell them we're watching a film".

"Thanks, Cheney". I went and sat down as the team started entering the room.

Mama, Christen and Hailey sat around me.

"Hey, why did you run off"? Hailey whispered to me.

"Sorry I just got excited". Hailey looked at me confused. "You'll find out soon". She nodded then Cheney went to the front.

"Okay everyone we're watching a movie tonight for team bonding. We've picked one out that we think you'll like. Dawn and I have approved and we have bought some snacks and drinks for you so before it starts come and choose what you want".

Within ten minutes everyone had gotten some snacks and drinks of their choice.

Everyone sits down and then the lights are turned off and the film begins.

About 45 minutes later the film ends and the end credits appear and the last line appears and stays on the screen the longest.

The lights are then turned on and everyone is in shock looking at me so I just smile not knowing what to do.

Mama was the first to speak. "Was that your project for school"?

I nodded.

Everyone was still confused.

"Makayla's online school set her a project which could be anything she wanted. Mk wanted it to be a surprise so she's kept it a secret and I've not seen anything at all. The only thing I've known is when she was filming or editing as when she was filming she told me beforehand when she was going and also I wasn't allowed in her room when she was editing. I am so proud of you Mk that was amazing". Mama hugged me.

"Thank you, Mama".
