Sinc's POV:

Tobs and I were eating our food while watching some old episodes of Friends when we heard the back door open, and Makayla walked in and went into the kitchen.

Then the microwave started then about 2 minutes later, Makayla walked in with her food and smoothie. She came over to where Tobs and I were and sat in between the both of us.

We were all just sat in silence, eating our food and watching the Friends episode.

"Mk we need to get you registered in the nearest school soon since it's your last year in high school".

I don't know what it was that Tobin said, but Makayla froze and dropped her food into her lap then she started crying into her hands.

"Mk, what is it"?

"Please, Mama, please don't make me go".

I looked at Tobin then took my food upstairs to my room, giving them time to talk.

Tobin's POV:

"Why not Mk"?

"Just please don't make me go".

Mk was still crying and held her head in her hands. I held her hands and moved them away from her face.

"Mk why don't you want to go to school? You need to go to school so you can get into a college".

Makayla looked me in the eyes with tears streaming down her face.

"I've never had a good experience at school I've always been bullied for being an orphan and because of my looks, and also I didn't go to school a lot, so it was always harder for me to learn and understand stuff".

"Why"?

"Some of my previous homes were abusive, and they didn't want me to go to school as they didn't want anyone to ask any questions about my bruises and scars they gave me".

"Okay, how about we sign you up for online school then".

Makayla smiled and started crying even more and fell into my eyes. "Thank you, Mama".

"Okay, but you need to complete all your work to the best you can and also try and go out and make some friends okay"? Makayla nodded her head in my chest.

Four weeks later:

It's been four weeks now, and Makayla has been doing all her online lessons and has been doing great at them, her health has also been good, and she's not been waking up much recently, Sinc and her have gotten close to the point where Mk calls her Momma Sinc.

Mk met the Thorns 3 weeks ago, and they've all grown close to her, and they've all become her aunts. She's also got close with all the staff.

Her and Abby's relationship has been great; they're always calling and texting. On the other hand, Mk hasn't spoken to Mal at all since there argument which is probably for the best.

We have both packed up ready for the national team camp that we are leaving for tomorrow morning.

It's currently half eleven at night, and I'm in bed watching tv since we have an early flight when I hear a knock on my door.

"Come in". The door opens, and Makayla comes in.

"Hey, Mama".

"Hey, baby, what's wrong"?

"Nothing I just wanted to ask If I could sleep with you tonight. If that's okay with you"?

"Yeah, of course, it's okay Mk, here jump on".

Makayla joined me under the covers ad cuddled up to me.

"You sure everything's okay"?

"Yes, Mama everything's okay".

"Is it just one of those nights"?

Makayla nodded her head. Due to everything that's happened to her, she randomly thinks of it all and wants to lay in bed with me and cuddle to help her get her mind off of it all. I love it when she gets like this as it gives me a chance to spend time with one of my daughters.

Looking down due to hearing light breathing, I see my daughter asleep, so I turn the tv off and follow her asleep.

Makayla's POV:

Waking up, I checked my phone seeing it was nearly 6 o'clock, and Mama's alarm would be going off soon for us to get up to be ready in time for our flight.

I see Mama still asleep, so I cuddle into her, wanting to be close to her for no particular reason.

Mama's phone soon went off, and she woke up and kissed the top of my head. We laid there for a while before I left so we could both get ready.

After I had a shower and got dressed, I put all my morning stuff into my bag and double-checked I had everything I needed. I then made my way downstairs putting my bag by the front door and walked into the kitchen sitting in my usual seat.

"Hey, Momma Sinc". She looked at me as she was cooking breakfast.

"Hey, kid, did you sleep alright"?

"Yeah, I slept with Mama last night".

"One of those nights"? Momma Sinc then placed the breakfast onto plates and put mine in front of me.

I nodded my head and told her thank you for the breakfast.

Time skip:

We're now at the airport ready to board our plane, and I start crying since I have to say bye to Momma Sinc.

She pulls me into a hug "Hey, it's okay kid we'll see each other in a month, and we can call whenever you want. Just don't get into any trouble okay. And please be safe".

"I promise Momma Sinc; I'll talk to you soon".

Mama and I made our way onto the plane with the other national players for our 4hr flight to Texas.

Sorry for the month time jump it was the only way to move on with the story.

Was going to type and publish this tomorrow but I've had a good day today, so I figured I'd do it today.
