Makayla's POV:

Leaving.

Escaping.

I hate to do them.

I'm glad I'm not doing them right now.

I'm not escaping or leaving I'm simply just running to think.

As soon as Tobin finished telling me, I wanted to speak, but I couldn't get the words out so instead I just ran.

Even with her running after me, I managed to make it to the elevator with the doors closing right behind me, shutting Tobin off from reaching me. As soon as it reached the bottom floor, I ran. I don't know where I was going, but I ran for about 10 minutes before deciding to stop here.

I saw something in front of me and had to go towards it, so I walked closer and sat down on a bench looking out at Harlem river.

Tobin's POV:

Crap

Crap

Crap

Running out the hotel doors as fast as possible after running down the stairs, I looked both ways, but each way did not have the 17-year-old running away.

I need to find her.

But I need help.

New York is massive.

I got Cheney to get an emergency meeting to which a few minutes later everyone was in the meeting room waiting to find out what this was about.

"Okay, everyone doesn't say anything till I've finished please".

I got confused looks from everyone, but they nodded at me to continue.

"So I adopted a girl I saw at the match, and she's called Makayla, and she's 17" I showed the girls a picture that was taken in the car, "I told her something shocking, and she panicked and ran. I need you to help me find her".

Cheney was the only one to speak as she split us up in groups to search in and told us to keep our phones on with our sound on.

We now had the plan, and we began. I knew I needed to make a call first, so I called Rachel, who was on her way straight away to help find Makayla.

Groups:

Group 1: Staff

Group 2: Ash, Ali, Tobin, Christen.

Group 3: Megan, Lindsey, Becky, Alyssa.

Group 4: AD, Carli, Jess, Rose.

Group 5: Abby, Sam, Julie, Emily.

Group 6: Crystal, Kelley, Mal, Alex.

Group 7: Rachel.

Everyone went different directions with us all having a picture of her on the group chat, so they had a constant look to help find her.

We hadn't heard anything yet, and it had been 35 minutes since she ran from the roof. Ali came up with the idea to split up and go opposite directions hoping she came to the river.

Ash's POV:

I can't believe what Tobs is going through right now. 

I just hope we find her soon. It's constantly looking at my phone seeing this girl and looking up to see if I find her either standing or sat near us.

Another 5 minutes of walking and I look up to see a bench in the distance with a girl with dark hair sitting on it staring out to the river.

I nudged Ali, so she looked at me noticing the direction I was looking in then she looked back at me nodding.

We walked over and sat on opposite sides of the girl who was still focusing on the river.

It was her.

I decide to speak "Everyone's worried searching for you, especially Tobin". That seemed to have broken her trance as she looked at me in shock then to her other side, seeing Ali also next to her.

She immediately broke down crying, and I automatically pulled her into me, holding her tightly. Ali got up, pointing to her phone, mouthing that she was going to let everyone know we found her.

"Why do you all care you don't even know me"?

"It doesn't matter if we know you or not, but Tobin adopted you meaning you're family now and we do anything for family. So do you you want to talk about it"?

She pulled away looking at the river again, so I put my arm around her "I don't know what Tobin told you, but she told me something shocking, and I guess I panicked and ran, but I want to stay with her, but  I just ruined my chance".

"Then let's go back to the hotel, and you can apologise for running and see what happens after that I guarantee you will be surprised. Let's get you back safe". She nodded, and we walked to Ali then walked back to the hotel where everyone was in the meeting room, waiting for us three to join them.

Chapter 11 done peeps.

Not as long as usual but I've filled my book, and I have to write the chapter in my book first as it has lines and I can't write on normal paper as it ends up going all over the place, but I'm getting a new one tomorrow.
