Tsunade glowered at her grandson, who hid behind his giggling sister.

"Naruto would you please tell me why Kakashi has reported your almost-death in this mission report?" the Hokage said through gritted teeth.

"U-Um. . . y-you see. . ." Naruto rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "Moo-moo Man -"

"Moo-moo Man?" Tsunade's eye twitched.

"I-I mean Zabuza Momochi. He was getting annoyed that we were ignoring him -"

"Why were you ignoring him?! He's an S-Class missing nin for Kami's sake!"

Naruto gulped nervously. Yep, his grandmother was most definitely blowing a fuse.

"You in deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep trouble, man," Sasuke muttered, elbowing him before finding himself on the receiving end of a death glare that actually made him shiver. Had the Kyuubi been teaching him how to glare?!

"Well we were telepathically strategizing," Naruto explained, ignoring Sasuke.

"Telepathy. You mean to tell me that you five-year-olds have telepathy?!" Tsunade yelled.

"Yes?"

Tsunade rubbed her temples. "I give up. What happened next?"

"Well Sasuke had his eyes closed as he was like, strategizing. Anyway, since Moo-moo Man who has such a large ego can't handle being ignored, he got annoyed and threw his sword at Sasuke. I acted on pure impulsive instinct, and pushed him over the bridge."

This elicited a snicker from Kakashi, who was reading in a shadowed corner.

"And then, I was thinking how funny it was to hear the "oh-so-high-and-mighty Uchiha" scream and freak out like a little girl, and then I thought that Sakura was such a spoilsport by catching Sasuke before hit the water!" Naruto transferred the glare Sasuke was giving him over at Sakura, who just blinked innocently at him.

"And after that, the sword hit me and then I was thinking how it was such a PATHETIC way to die, and SO not worthy of wonderful glorious me. . . and then I realized I was dying," Naruto said dramatically with large hand gestures until he reached the end, in which he said casually as if it was a normal everyday thing.

Tsunade's eye twitched violently as a vein bulged. If her grandson thought that dying was a normal everyday thing and should not be worried about. . . he was going to get a what-for.

"Ahem," Sakura coughed warningly as Sasuke glared at him.

"Um. . . okay," Naruto sweatdropped. "Anyway, then I remembered my tenant inside of me, and took a little trip to my sewage-like mind."

Tsunade's eyes widened as she realized he knew about the Kyuubi and his status as a jinchuuriki. Really, how perceptive was this five-year-old? This was Itachi all over again. . . except there were three!

". . . which reminds me. I should really change my mindscape," Naruto tapped his chin thoughtfully. "Moving on. I met Kurama, had a quick talk with him, and Ke I will tell you about this later, we need to discuss something," he gave him a stern look.

"So when you went to your mind. . . that's when you stopped breathing," Sakura said in realization.

"You stopped BREATHING?!" Tsunade yelled in shock.

"YOU NEVER TOLD ME THAT!" Naruto yelled at his teammates, also shocked.

Sakura and Sasuke sweatdropped. "Um, sorry?"

Naruto grunted. "We will talk about this later," he shot them a glare for like, the millionth time since he stepped foot into the office. "Well then after talking and befriending him, he healed me. Then I woke up to Sasuke and Sakura being all solemn and stuff, then I asked them why they were so serious "

"In a really creepy voice," his teammates interrupted simultaneously, making Naruto smirk.

" - and then they jumped to the high heavens screaming themselves hoarse," Naruto finished, grinning.

Tsunade sweatdropped. 'Just how dramatic can my grandson's life get? ' she thought despairingly.

"Well as much as I think I am going to regret this, I am nominating you for the Chuunin Exams. I believe you are ready," Tsunade said at last, breaking the silence.

"Chuunin Exams. . . wasn't that when the Sound and Sand invaded? " Sakura asked her siblings thoughtfully.

"Yep," the boys replied.

"Can't wait for that, Granny," Naruto grinned. "C'mon Ke, Kura, let's go train! You never know, maybe there could be an invasion," he said slyly.

Sakura and Sasuke shook their heads before the three of them each broke a window making their quick escape out of the office.

Tsunade's vein bulged. "NARUTOOO!"

Naruto chuckled nervously, hearing his grandmother scream his name from all over in the Uchiha Compound's training ground.

Itachi, who was with them, sweatdropped.

"Eheh, so Kura could you train with me in my taijutsu?" Naruto asked hopefully.

"Sure," the pinkette nodded.

"Itachi, could you battle me Uchiha vs. Uchiha?" Sasuke turned to the older Uchiha, who blinked uncomprehendingly.

"What?"

"Uchiha vs. Uchiha," Sasuke repeated. "Don't hold back, and use your Sharingan if necessary. I will too."

"You don't even know how to use your Sharingan," Itachi said numbly. "You're only five."

"So? What does age have to do with anything?" Sasuke's onyx eyes swirled to a fully matured Sharingan. "I achieved it, I trained with it, I know how to use it, I want to know what will force me to use it. So fight me."

Itachi nodded slowly, and Sasuke immediately shifted into a battle stance. Itachi noted that there were absolutely no gaps in his stance, and his body was tense, like a spring coil ready to spring at any moment an enemy ninja might attack.

Narrowing his eyes, the older Uchiha decided to attack first. He jumped into the air, quickly followed by Sasuke. Itachi tried to strike Sasuke's stomach with half-force, but was surprisingly blocked by Sasuke's arm.

They landed on the ground and Itachi ran at him, aiming again at his stomach, but Sasuke quickly evaded his strike by moving to the right. Sasuke quickly blocked a right hook and threw a kick with his left leg, unsurprisingly blocked with Itachi's arm.

Sasuke sped up his attacks, forcing Itachi to move faster.

Itachi threw his leg straight up and crashed it down with half-force, cracking the ground. Sasuke jumped backwards with surprising speed. Itachi did three more of those kicks, leaping forward each time, and each time Sasuke would jump backwards to avoid getting hit.

Sasuke, deciding he had enough of being on defensive, ran at his brother and the two exchanged blows, blocking and striking.

Itachi was shocked by his little brother's speed, and realized then that he unconsciously turned on his Sharingan.

Sasuke smirked victoriously and sped up his speed even more, forcing Itachi to go along with him.

Some strikes hit home but most were blocked. Itachi did a flurry of kicks which were blocked by Sasuke's arms which formed an "X".

With another flurry of strikes from Sasuke that made Itachi go on the defensive, the older Uchiha flipped backwards, panting.

Sasuke smirked. "How was that, Itachi?"

Itachi couldn't believe the speed his little brother possessed, and he hadn't even turned on his Sharingan while he himself had been forced to just to keep up with someone 5 years his junior.

"You are more than ready for the Chuunin Exams," Itachi said at last, receiving a victorious grin from his brother.

That night, Sakura was over at the Uchiha Compound for a sleepover, partially so they could all go to the Chuunin Exams together and partially so they could discuss what they wanted to change.

"So I think we should let everything go as normal, except for the Forest of Death. We have to kill Orochimaru as fast as possible," Naruto said solemnly.

"Agreed," Sasuke said immediately, rubbing his neck.

"And what about the invasion?" Sakura said quietly. "Since Lord Third isn't alive, we've already changed a major portion of the past."

"The invasion we'll worry about later. Right now, we have to focus on the Forest of Death. If we don't get to kill Orochimaru, our first priority is to make sure I don't get the Curse Mark. If that happens, all we've worked so hard to change could potentially go down the drain," Sasuke frowned.

"Agreed," Naruto nodded. "If we don't manage to kill him, we can wait until he confronts Granny with Reanimations. Then, we will break through the barrier, dispel his Reanimations and then kill him. No snake will survive."

"Don't forget to take off Anko's Curse Mark," Sakura reminded him.

"I'm still working on it, but I've gotten the knack of it," Naruto told her. "It's basically styled in a pattern similar to the Uchiha's three-tomoe Sharingan, hidden under an incredibly complex pattern. I'm still trying to find the end of the "spiderweb", so to speak. And from there I can unravel the seal, potentially removing it."

Normally his siblings and teammates would get completely lost when he talked about seals, but this time they completely understood him. The seal was like a spiderweb, and would be undone in such a way.

"What about Gaara?" Sakura said suddenly. "How can we help him?"

Naruto smacked his forehead with his palm. "I totally forgot about him! Poor Gaara is still a suffering little. . . jinchuuriki. . ."

They all facepalmed.

"He's not going to be there, we're 7 years early," Sasuke groaned.

"Well we should get a mission to the Sand Village as fast as possible, and then figure out what we can do," Sakura decided.

"Perhaps. . . if I ask Kurama, there might be a way to restore someone's memory with your Mangekyō Sharingan," Naruto said slowly, considering the possibility.

"Yes, please do that," Sakura agreed. "If it does work, we could do that to the whole Leaf Legion -"

"Leaf Legion?" the boys raised their eyebrows.

"A better name for Konoha 12," Sakura said dismissively. "And as I was saying, we could probably restore all of their memories, and then we could. . . you know. . . get a lot more help with changing the past!"

"I'll ask Kurama tonight, when I get to sleep," Naruto decided.

"So we agree that we can try to restore our friends' memories?" the female of the group said quietly.

"Yes. And we agree that we must kill Orochimaru as fast as possible, correct?" Sasuke said lowly.

"No question," Naruto agreed.

"We should inform the Hokage of Orochimaru as well as his demise if we succeed." Sakura added quickly.

"And from there, I can undo Anko's Curse Seal, even if we did not defeat him," Naruto nodded.

"We will protect the Village Hidden in the Leaves," they proclaimed quietly, determination shining in their eyes.

However, they didn't know that Itachi Uchiha was outside Sasuke's door, and had heard everything.

From beginning to end.

What is Itachi going to do next? Will Team 7 succeed in killing Orochimaru? Will Itachi be told the truth immediately, or will he be forced to wonder and nag his brother until he relents?

You hopefully won't have to wait long until the Chuunin Exams commence!
