EPISODE NINE 9:TWILIGHT

**HADEEZAH'S POV.**

"Hadi, Hadi, wake up we are here already," Ava said gently tapping my shoulder.

"Hmm," I said rubbing my eyes lazily.

"We need to get lunch ready, I'll call the names of the students that are going to prepare lunch for us," Miss Melissa said.

"Primrose."

"What, Miss Melissa, I'm as tired as hell and you expect me to cook for whatever you call your students," Rose said.

"Everyone has their turn to cook and you are not the only one tired, now I'll call the rest of you," Miss Melissa said.

"Ashley."

"Freddy."

"Dylan."

"Capri."

"Maya."

"Michael."

"That's all for now, I'll give you the list for dinner later," Miss Melissa said.

"I hate camping," Rose said.

"How I wish you could eat all the makeup on your face maybe you'd see the beauty of camping from inside," Ashley said.

"Oh quiet, nobody cares about what you think," Rose said.

"Oh sorry, I've forgotten that the only thing you care about is your follower count. So sorry about that, I could be of help if you want," Ashley said sarcastically.

"My name is Rose, and why would I need help from a fashion blunder," Rose said, which was a bit harsh.

"Girls quiet unless you want to prepare dinner again," Miss Melissa said.

"F***, what the hell was that," Rose shouted.

"It's just an earthworm, deal with it," Ashley said, holding it up.

"How can you be so gross," Rose said.

Ashley threw it on her body.

"What the f*** did you do that for," Rose said, trying very hard to get rid of the worm.

"Ashley, you are preparing dinner again and apologize to Rose," Miss Melissa said.

"Sorry, bird brain," Ashley said sarcastically.

"F*** you," she said.

"Same to you," Ashley said.

"Rose, language," Miss Melissa said.

"Sorry," she said.

Miss Melissa is probably in her early twenties because she is the only teacher that doesn't call us by our surnames.

"I and Ava started setting up our tents, something is wrong with mine, it's not stable at this corner," I said, pointing to the left side.

"Oh, one of the connectors is missing," Ava said.

"Now I have to find that, after having one hell of a trip, oh Allah," I lamented as the hot sun beat my head through my hijab, of course, don't get the wrong idea.

"I think you are looking for this," I heard a familiar voice. I turned, and it was Ethan.

"I found it over there," I looked at him and couldn't help but stare at his warm blue eyes, they were like Ava's but much cooler and prettier, oh shoot I'm not supposed to stare at a boy that is not a relative like that.

"Thanks," I said, yanking it off his hand.

"No problem, by the way, can I get your name again? I keep forgetting it because it turns out it's very unique," he said showing his perfectly set white teeth.

"It's Hadeezah," I said, hoping he would leave immediately.

"OK, bye," he said, leaving.

"Alhamdulillah," I said.

"You like him," Ava said.

"Seriously Ava, I don't believe you would ever think like that," I said fanning her off.

"OK if you say so, but I can't wait to tell you 'I told you so'," she said.

"Wait forever because he has a girlfriend," I said.

"OK, let's just get this over with," Ava said.

"Really, me be with a non-Muslim, is that even possible? I should probably just rub that horrible thought off my mind; right now, I should focus on making it out of this beautiful school with the highest GPA I can have."

"Later in the evening, we all sat beside the campfire roasting marshmallows, it's so delicious," I told Ava.

"I can't believe this is your first time having roasted marshmallows," she said.

"I can believe it took me this long to have it," I said with a mouth full of marshmallows.

"I'll be right back, Ava," I said.

"Don't stay too long, you know we have to sleep early, we are going to the Eilean Donan Castle," she said.

"OK," I said getting up.

**ETHAN'S POV.**

"Rosy, could you please excuse me for now, I need to handle some things," I said, letting go of her hand.

"OK, be back soon," she said.

"I left, I walked over to the stream, the big full moonlight reflected on the water giving it this shimmering look of something like pixie dust. But then I spotted something or should I say someone else, the girl with the head cover, Hadeezah."

"I took a seat beside her, but not too close. Hey," I said, and she jerked a bit.

She wiped away some tears.

"Hey, are you OK?" I asked her.

"I'm good, it's nothing," she said sniffing.

"I just wanted to return this," I said, stretching her bracelet to her.

"Thank you so much for finding this, I never thought I would see it again," she said.

"Would you like to share why you were crying with me?" I asked genuinely.

"I wouldn't want to worry anyone with my personal life and issues," she said.

"It's OK," I said.

"It's about my dad, I miss him so much, but the thing is mentioning even his name beside my mum makes her very angry and sad at the same time. But my dad would never intentionally hurt my mum or his children, we were one happy family when I used to live in Nigeria," she said sadly.

"How about you ask her about it because I have a dad that is never home. He is always working, even on holidays. I have to be perfect for him so I can take over his so-called empire, which I seriously wish he never has to do. It's his Empire for goodness sake; he should deal with it," I said.

"Looks like you also have a story to tell," she said.

"It's getting late, Dee. I think we should head back," I said.

"Wait, what do you just call me?" she said with a bit of a smile on her face.

"Should I be honest with you?" I asked.

"OK," she said.

"Your name is too long for me to call all the time, so I came up with a nickname for you," I said.

"Looks like everyone is coming up with nicknames for me today," she said, smiling.

"Do you like it? I won't like calling someone a name she doesn't like," I said.

"It's fine; you can call me that," she said.

"If you are done, let's head back," I said.

"Yes," on attempting to stand up, she slipped, "here let me help you," I said, stretching my hand.

"Thank you," she said, accepting the offer.

"Ethan, what the hell are you doing here?" Rosy, who suddenly appeared, said.

"I just wanted to return her stuff back," I said.

"Well, it looks like something else to me. Looks like you're on second thought with this girl with whatever she calls it on her head," she said.

"Come on, Rosy, that is not nice," I said.

"You have no right to speak to me like that," Dee said.

"Please, no fighting. Let's just head back to the campfire," I said.

"Whatever. And Ethan, don't even think about coming near me," Rosy said in the angriest voice ever.

"I'm sorry, Dee. We will talk tomorrow," I said, rushing off to meet up with Rosy.

"Rosy, what's wrong with you? You should stop being so delusional. Okay, we were just having a friendly talk," I said, trying to convince her.

"Oh, and you expect me to believe what just came out of your mouth? It was a friendly talk that had the both of you alone at night, and you had to hold her hand, getting all smiley with her. Do you think I was born two hours ago?" she said.

"Whatever you think it is, I'm sorry. It won't happen again, I promise," I said.

"Okay, fine, whatever," she said, and she walked away.

"Rosy can be very hard when she wants to be."

**HADEEZAH'S POV.**

"Hadi, where the hell have you been? I've been waiting for you," Ava said.

"It's nothing; I'm sorry for keeping you waiting. Let's head back," I said.

"Okay, it's so chilly out here. Looks like winter is about to start," she said.

"Can't wait to see snow," I squealed.

"Whatever helps you pass your tests," she said, rolling her eyes.

"Let's just go, you big sack of rice," I said, pushing her from behind.

"Leave me alone," she said, dragging the alone part.

"Ashley is telling the scary story part," she said.

"You know I hate horror," I said, getting scared.

"Come on, don't be a chicken," she said, dragging me now.

When we got there, Ashley had already started with the scary story part, and I must say she is a real pro when it came to telling scary stories. I hope I'm able to sleep tonight.

When Ashley was done, we all retired to our tents.

I said my prayers and I slept.
