The Gods and the Splinter (11)

I didn't know what to write, so this is just me trying to shake off writer's block.

"Where too, sweetheart?" He asks, rushing around the console.

"Somewhere beautiful. Don't take me to the bedroom, either." You smirk, and he stops running to point at you with a shake of his head, and a small gasp.

"A far-off planet called Asclepius, after the greed god of medicine and healing! It's rumoured the rain on that planet has special properties so the name is a handy coincidence, including its two moons, Aether, meaning light, and the bigger moon, Eris the Greek goddess of chaos, strife and discord." The Doctor flies the TARDIS.

"According to the ancient civilisation that lived on this planet, and observed the greeks -you can tell- A new god, Aether, fought an old, corrupted Goddess named Eris, and Aether locked her up on a planet, bringing him to a healing God, Asclepius, to uncorrupt him, but they got caught by the God that corrupted the Goddess in the first place and were punished. They were exiled to planets." The doctor rushes over to you and grips your hand and covers your eyes, excitedly opening the TARDIS and helping you step outside.

He uncovers your eyes, and you take in your surroundings.

A beautiful light blue planet, with purple water that filled every ditch and small dip, a purple river running about five meters in front of you, tall sky blue (earth sky) leaves and shrubbery peppered over the pastel green grass, a dark, starry night with few pink clouds and... rain. Two beautiful moons, one dark grey, the other a bright white, the rain having a soft feeling against your skin, a beautiful colour mix of pale blue, purples, pinks and reds.

You look at the Doctor, his green eyes reflecting some of the colours they were taking in, his hair absorbing some of the rain, his attention completely on the sky, holding your hand tightly and laughing.

"This is just amazing!" The Doctor exhaled.

"I know!" You mimic, a beautiful excitement filling your eyes as you observed and taking a few steps with him.

"Almost as beautiful as you." He would smile, adding an, "Almost."

You laugh back, "Charming."

"Really?" He would say, separating his hand from yours so he can adjust his bow-tie and run his hand through his now wet hair, as you walk towards the river cautiously, admiring the water and some unusual amphibians.

"Doctor, look at these!" You exclaim, with all the excitement of a new companion, but with the experience of a companion that has been with him for many years.

"They are quite interesting, aren't they?" The Doctor sits down, ushering for you to do the same, and you place your head on his shoulder.

"You know, according to the locals, this is healing rain." The Doctor smiles.

"I mean... possible, I suppose..." You ramble on about the scientific side of the healing rain, the Doctor just kissing your head.

"Pretty much correct. If I were to," The Doctor scratches his arm with a rock until it bleeds slightly, and you scowl at him holds it out the rain, the rain healing it immediately.

"Cool! Don't do that again." You scold him, kissing his cheek.

"Yes ma'am," He would salute, and you restrain yourself from slapping him.

"This is pretty beautiful." You stare at the water, the rain wetting your hair, and the Doctors' hair being equally as wet.

"I can do better." The Doctor offers, mildly flirting, shifting onto his knees.

"Go on then, bad boy." You flirt back, causing him to run his hand through his now wet hair.

"Oh, I will." He would say, standing quickly and pulling you up and back into the TARDIS.

"Where to, pretty boy?" You ask him, placing your lips on his.

"I'm taking you to Eros." He would say, rushing to the console.

"Greek god of sexual yearning, attraction, love and desire? You don't need a God for any of those things~." You smile

"You don't have to flirt with me, we've been married for five hundred years." The Doctor sounds solemn, but his cheeks have developed a rosy colour.

"Well, I might not have to, but your reaction is still adorable."

The TARDIS materialises, and The Doctor opens the door for you, allowing you to step outside first.

This planet had the strangest of things in the sky. Two half moons, they weren't half moons because of the position of the sun, they were a moon split into two, around an inch worth of space between them from where you were standing. This planet was covered in red flowers of many kinds, roses, tulips, daisies (?), the grass was pastel green, making the red stand out so much more, the sun was setting behind the TARDIS, a beautiful red and pink sunset. Tall cherry red trees and their sticks around them. Beautiful pink and orange sunset blending into the pastel purple clouds and the deepness of space. The water was dark blue, pushing on black, gently lapping upon a grey gravel beach.

"Doctor, this is..." you gasp.

"I know." He would finish for you, kissing your cheek.

"I love you." You whisper.

"I know- I mean, I love you too." He would scratch the back of his head, but you chuckle at his mistake.

As soon as both as you say that, the flowers start growing faster, new roses and flowers growing at your feet.

"That. Is beautiful." You look at the all of the flowers. Then a single black and white rose with slightly red tips grows on the area in front of you, and you both gawk at it.

The Doctor would hold your shoulders so you look at him, "Y/N. I love you, I really do. You've spent so long with me, yet you don't grow tired of me, If I could ask you to marry me again, I would! I really would, because I have always felt so nervous yet I feel that I belong somewhere." You look up at him and he would kiss you, leaning you down slightly, placing a hand on your back.

The Doctor would pull away after a minute, placing his forehead against yours.

"Dear, I love you. I could never love anyone else. I will always be yours, and I will love you for the rest of time, and I don't care how many years, how many lonely hours that will be. You always so caring, even though you sometimes loose your temper or may not want to talk to anyone, like when we saw starship UK. I love you, and trouble will always be worth you." You respond, standing up straight and moving so you can nip his neck. He would smile and move his head backwards and away from you, allowing you better access. You keep kissing and trailing over his neck, and he keeps moving so you can access it. You place both of your hands on his cheeks and move his head so he is looking at you, and you slam his lips onto yours, his lips moving more than yours, trying to feel as much of yours as possible, his lips only parting so he can lick and nip at yours. You feel a wave of warmth wash over you and you pull away in shock, The Doctor's eyes still shut, him whimpering quietly.

Why did she have to pull away... I want more! I want her lips against mine and I want to taste he- what was that wave of warmth? I wrap my arms around her protectively. I try to open my eyes, but fail. I try again and manage to open them.

I look around me, and see that everything is more vibrant and red, the flowers are bloomed, and it's fantastic.

"This is amazing," I whisper. I fell over, and my hand scraped the tree and I jumped back up with a yelp of pain. Did I get bitten by the tree?

Y/N immediately takes my hand in hers and checks it, as my eyes tear up in pain.

"Splinter. Let's get you inside." She Doctors me, I love it when she does that, but under different circumstances.

I take him into the TARDIS and dematerialise from the planet, before taking him to the med-bay. I order him to sit down as I get the medical supplies and prepare for a tantrum.

I get tweezers, disinfectant, some cotton and a small dressing.

"Hun, I'm going to need you to sit still for a bit," You cup his cheek comfortingly.

"Okay, I can do that." The Doctor puffs his chest out. You pick up the tweezers, hold his hand in yours, and move the tweezers to his finger and place them on his fingertip, gripping the splinter and gently tugging. The splinter resists and the Doctor winces in pain, his entire hand flinching away from you.

"Sweethearts, If you let me finish this, I promise we can do anything or go anywhere you like for the rest of today and the next two days, promise." You say, encouragingly gripping his knee, he nods and holds his hand to you, closing his eyes and placing a hand on your cheek.

You proceed to slowly work it out as painlessly as possible, occasional winces from him, and his hand moving to your hair and grabbing a handful of it to help him cope. Once it was at an angle you could swiftly remove it, you tell him that it won't hurt and quickly remove it, and he nearly screams.

"I'm so sorry, sweethearts." You apologise. You soak the cotton in disinfectant and gently dab it on his index finger, before wrapping it in a small bit of bandage and kissing it softly.

"See? All better." You smile up at him, standing up and kissing his forehead. The Doctor grumbles, "You lied."

"And you're all better now, did I mention?" you ask him, cupping his cheek and rubbing his knee.

"Yes... I am, and it doesn't hurt anymore." The Doctor keeps sulking, "Thank you."

"No problem, now, where do you want to go, my love?" You ask him, taking his hand in yours.
