Chapter 22: The Plan

When Bill had escaped the rift, he immediately ripped the Mystery Shack right off of it's foundation in search of something, or someone.

"Here, Fordsie Fordsie Fordsie, an old pal's here to see you!"

When he discovered both Stan and Ford armed with weapons (Stan with a baseball bat and Ford with an interdimensional gun) he exclaimed, "Well would you look at that- two for one!" he scooped up the two in his giant hand and marched them across town before imprisoning them in the fearamid.

After arriving at the Fearamid, Ford began angrily questioning Bill from inside his cage, "What do you want this time, Cipher?" he growled.

"You see, now that I'm free in your dimension I've decided to take my power world wide! But there seems to be a force keeping me inside the barrier of this town, and I know that you're the only one who can fix it."

Ford thought to himself before gasping "Of course! It's been right under my nose all these years, Gravity Falls natural magnet of weirdness must have created some sort of force field attracting the weirdness and keeping it here!"

Stan grunted and nudged his brother, but it was too late. Bill now knew that he had what he needed.

"Now how bout you tell me how to get rid of it." he said.

"And why would I tell you that?" Ford scoffed, receiving another hard nudge from Stan.

"Because, Ford, or else those kids are gonna be in some major trouble..."

"No! Not the kids!" Stan and Ford yelled at the same time.

Bill turned away from them, laughing maniacally as he formulated his own plan.

                       . . . . . . . .

"What're we gonna do if Dipper falls for the trap?" Stan exclaimed to his brother from inside their cage after Bill had left the throne room of the fearamid. Their cage was to the right of the giant throne, giving them a perfect view of the horrifying frozen forms of the townsfolk.

"Dipper's a smart kid, he's not going to fall for it." Ford said confidently, staring out through the triangle shaped opening in the wall across from them.

"This is all my fault,"

Ford turned to see Stan sitting on the floor. He sat beside him.

"Back when you died... If I hadn't been so reckless it never would have happened, and I know that I shouldn't "tamper with life and death" or whatever but the way it all happened...it was all so fast and there was so much I wanted to tell you..." Stan's voice trailed off. He sniffed and rubbed his eyes.

"Same here, Stanley." Ford said quietly "...I guess we both tend to act on impulse often, don't we?"

Stan nodded, "Yeah."

It wasn't much, but it was an apology. An unspoken apology and they both had accepted it.
