Epilogue: Thanks for Everything. Cordially Copenhagen.

The world wide web can be a double edge sword. As Roz discovered, the globe's most viewed uncheckable fact forum, the internet, can cut your reputation to threads overnight. Or can be used for good to occasionally right some wrongs. After Roz had personally reached out to Anthony, he read her blog post with great curiosity. He gave Roz the benefit of a doubt with her version of events which gave him pause. His family's restaurant couldn't have been the only victim of EATLDN's underhanded so-called journalism, he speculated. When Anthony personally posted on Roz's blog, admitting that his family's eatery was actually levelled by EATLDN's tabloid tales rather than Roz's reporting, there was a tsunami of bulletins from other restaurateurs whose businesses had also suffered the same fate. And there was also a slew of writers and budding journalists who were bamboozled by the unscrupulous blog site, in the exact same manner as Roz. Her blog had exposed the underhanded journalistic practices and deceptive reporting by EATLDN and within a month the site was shut down.

When Lærke informed Mikkel that Roz's blog post had gone viral, he called Roz. He explained that he started to realize that everyone who enjoyed EATLDN, enjoyed it blindly, without any scrutiny or true analysis of the facts. He believed that deep down, most readers, including himself, enjoyed the schadenfreude of it all, taking pleasure in the misfortune of other restaurateurs. He asked if she would consider returning to FUNDAMENT but not as a server. Roz was intrigued and wondered what he had in mind. Mikkel would only explain the offer to her in person with Preben present. Roz immediately told Mikkel that Preben wasn't speaking to her. Mikkel said that he knew about their "split", but had already reached out to Preben and smoothed everything out. When she arrived at his office that afternoon, Preben was already there. The two gave one another a big reunion hug and kiss. While holding hands, Mikkel presented his offer. He was going to open a gourmet Hot Dog stand that would be adjacent to the FUNDAMENT warehouse, called FunDaMentalDogs. Preben would be head chef, with a mandate to create gourmet, exotic Danish hot dogs. Meanwhile, with the recent implosion of EATLDN, Mikkel stated that there was a huge space to fill in the food blog universe. In the back portion of the hot dog stand, he was building a small office slash recording studio booth. Here, Roz could continue her now super popular food blog while also recording a weekly podcast dedicated to food and haute cuisine. Preben and Roz immediately accepted the generous offer.

The gourmet Hot Dog stand was an immediate hit and with some oversight from Mikkel, Preben was creating some signature dogs that were drawing in not only local fans, but those from abroad. Roz's blog and podcast were also an instant sensation. Roz's first guest was of course Mikkel. He connected her with many other chefs of note from all over Europe. Roz was a born interviewer, who instinctively knew how to put her guests at ease, quickly establishing a rapport with them. Her quick wit and knowledge of food made her blog and podcasts a must for any foodie to consume.

It soon became a Friday evening tradition for Lærke, her parents and Astrid to visit FunDaMentalDogs and enjoy a hot dog created by Preben while listening to Roz's latest podcast over a loudspeaker. One Friday night after they were closing up the stand for the evening, Astrid showed everyone that Anthony had posted on Roz's blog. He publicly apologized for his bad behaviour with Roz while in Copenhagen. He recounted that while the erroneous bad review on EATLDN did in fact bring down his family's restaurant, the eatery itself was barely hanging on leading up to its demise. He went on to explain that in the end his family's restaurant's shutdown was a blessing for himself and his siblings. There was now an incentive for them to start something fresh and new. He went on to say that his trip to Denmark to confront Roz, led him to be inspired by the new cuisine concepts he discovered there. His post finished with a few words, promoting the new rizzotto based restaurant he started with his brothers and sister. It was located in Covent Garden and called ROZotto.

Roz was clearly moved by the gesture - she thought of the naming as a kind of peace offering by Anthony. As Roz considered how Anthony was looking at his family's business unfortunate collapse as a blessing, she looked around at her new Danish family and began to count her blessings as well. She thought how ironic it was that she originally came to Copenhagen to go underground and hide. Now she was thriving in the very city she knew nothing about. Roz had a profound warm feeling now for Copenhagen, and deep down, she knew she'd be living there for the foreseeable future. She also now knew that she understood the true meaning of Hygge.

End of Story ...so far.
