"Nya. I-I wanted to ask you this for... a long time. Um will you... be my Yang?" Jay asks as he holds up a yin yang token to Alexis.

"No no no. You can't ask like that." Kai says as he goes over to Alexis and Jay.

"Why not?" Jay asks as he looks at Kai.

"Remind me again how I got roped into this? I had things to do at the animal sanctuary." Alexis says in annoyance.

"Because you wanted us to keep quiet about your surprise to Cole to ask him to move in with you." Kai says as Alexis gives him an annoyed look.

"Right." Alexis says in defeat.

"Now Jay watch me. You have to ask with confidence. Like this. Hey Nya how's it going? I've been thinking. You and me. We make a pretty good pair. So what do you say we make it official? Will you be my Yang?" Kai asks as he shows Jay what he wants him to do by using Jay as an example.

"Yes!" Jay says as he takes the token from Kai.

"I'll admit that was pretty good Kai." Alexis says.

"I try." Kai says as he smiles.

"Okay well I'm going to go find Wu. I wanna take a break for a bit." Alexis says as she walks out of the room.

*Timeskip*

"The mural was beautifully done master." Alexis says as Wu nods in agreement.

"Yes. It was." Wu says as Nya, Jay, Kai, and Dareth come over.

"Wow." Jay says in amazement seeing the mural.

"Will you look at that?" Kai says as the others look at the mural.

"It is the history of Ninjago. A history in which all of you played a significant role." Wu says.

"Huh? That looked like Firstbourne." Kai says as as a portal opens in the sky and a dragon flies out before crashing below the monastery,

"Come on!" Alexis shouts as the group run down the stairs towards Firstbourne.

"Oh my gosh! Faith!" Jay shouts as Wu calms Firstbourne before she opens her talons and Faith falls out.

"Are you okay?" Alexis asks.

"Faith what happened? Who did this?" Wu asks as he rests Faith on his arms before she whispers in his ear.

"What did she say?" Jay asks as Wu looks at the others.

"She said a darkness is coming." Wu says.

*Timeskip*

"How is she?" Lloyd asks as he and the others are waiting outside as Wu comes outside the room.

"Will she be okay?" Nya asks.

"I've given her a powerful healing potion. She will recover as will Firstbourne. It will take time." Wu says.

"Did she say what happened?" Cole asks.

"She said a darkness swept over the Realm of Oni and Dragon. She tried to resist it but it grew and grew consuming all in its path. Those who were touched by it were frozen where they stood like statues." Wu says as he makes some tea.

"I was at Kryptarium Prison visiting my father. He said something similar. He said the darkness is coming." Lloyd says.

"Oh that's creepy." Jay says as Alexis nods in agreement.

"But what is it? What is the darkness?" Cole asks.

"What else did he say?" Wu asks as he looks at Lloyd.

"Something about the bringers of doom." Lloyd says.

"Bringers of doom. There. That's it." Wu says as he grabs a book and flips through the pages before stopping as the others look at what he found.

"I don't like the look of that." Cole says as he looks at the page.

"Me either." Alexis says.

"What is it?" Kai asks.

"It is an Oni. My father called them The Bringers of Doom. He feared that they would one day spread out from their realm and cover all the lands of creation in darkness." Wu says.

"That's a crazy legend. Good thing it's just a legend. Right?" Jay asks as he laughs.

"Many legends begin in truth. And if there is any truth to this we must prepare." Wu says.

"How?" Lloyd asks.

"We must warn Ninjago City. There isn't a moment to lose." Wu says as he runs out of the building before the others follow.

"Good thing we have the Bounty back." Cole says.

*Timeskip*

"No way! Look at this thing!" Kai says as the group get on the Bounty and look around.

"Wow!" Nya says.

"Whoa!" jay says.

"Amazing!" Alexis says.

"Huh. This looks just like the old Bounty." Kai says as Cole and Jay are messing with buttons and switches.

"They did a wonderful job." Nya says.

"Let's see what she's capable of. Full speed ahead." Lloyd says as Zane pulls a switch up before the thrusters turn backwards.

"What was that?" Nya asks.

"Forwards Zane. Not backwards." Lloyd says as he looks at Zane.

"Someone must have wired the lever wrong." Zane says as he fixes the switch before the Bounty takes off flying.

*Timeskip*

"Uh guys. I'm picking up a lot of distress calls on UHF." Zane says as the group is getting near the city.

"We're too late." Cole says seeing the darkness is already in Ninjago.

"Oh no!" Alexis says seeing people fleeing from the dark cloud.

"Maximum speed!" Lloyd shouts.

"Hold on everyone." Nya says as she gets the bounty up to maximum speed before dropping ropes and ladders down in front of some people as the group slide down the ropes to them.

"The Ninja! Oh boy. We're glad to see you guys." A man says.

"Commissioner get your officers out of here." Lloyd says as he hands the man a rope.

"You heard him. Move it!" The commissioner says as he and his men climb the ladders

"Okay let's see what this is made of. Care to do the honors Jay?" Lloyd asks as he looks at the darkness before at Jay.

"My pleasure." Jay says as he and Kai attack the darkness but all it does is absorb their powers.

"Okay, everybody at the same time." Lloyd says.

"Ninja... Go!" The group shouts in union before attacking the darkness as it does nothing.

"it just keeps absorbing our attacks!" Alexis says.

"Our Elemental Powers appear to be ineffective." Zane says.

"Yeah no kidding. What do we do?" Kai asks.

"Nya get us out of here." Lloyd says as he talks into the communicator.

"You got it!" Nya says as she then picks the group up with the ropes as they barely make it aboard.

*Timeskip*

"We hit it with everything we had and it did nothing. It just went right through it." Kai says as the group is staring at the corrupted city.

"How are we supposed to fight something like that?" Nya asks as Cole shivers causing Alexis to put her hand on his.

"I-I touched it. It was colder than anything I've ever felt. And there was something inside the cloud. I think it was an Oni." Cole says.

"Maybe we can't fight it but I know someone who can." Lloyd says.

*Timeskip*

"Well well. Look who's back." Garmadon says as the group arrive at his cell.

"How do we stop it?" Lloyd asks.

"You can't. If you were to enter the darkness you would succumb to it. The only way to defeat an Oni is with another Oni. You need me." Garmadon says.

"Ha ha ha. Like that's gonna happen. Ha ha. That's not gonna happen is it?" Jay asks.

"What choice do we have? Open Cell One!" Lloyd shouts as the cell lifts slowly while Garmadon laughs.
