XX - A day in Forever Fall

A gunshot echoed throughout Forever Fall.  Birds escaped from the nests, fluttering away in a hurry as the shot rang past the now unoccupied trees.

Draven stood over a dead young hunter. He kicked the hunter's head, and grinned. Celenia removed one of her icy blades out of the young hunter's stomach, and smirked. "You're a really powerful assassin Draven!"

Draven chuckled and started to walk forward. "You're not bad yourself Celenia!" Celenia blushed and ran after him.

"You really think that?!"

"Yeah! Of course Celenia!"

Celenia twirled a lock of her blonde hair around her index finger, and glanced back at the dead hunter which laid sprawled on the dirty brown path. Crimson leaves fluttered around him.

"Who was the guy anyways?" She asked, raising one eyebrow.

Draven shrugged. " I don't really know. I was just told by Zero the kill him-"

"Who's Zero?"

Draven placed one hand on Celenia's cheek. "He usually assigns me all of the people who I have to assassinate. Trust me, you don't want to mess with him." He then rolled up the sleeve of his black hoodie and revealed a large wound on his arm.

Celenia gasped. "How dare he-"

Draven sighed. "He's a tough guy. I only work for him so I can get the money."

"By the looks of it he's really brutal." Celenia said while frowning. "Are you sure working for him is a good idea? I mean, Salem provides us with everything we need."

"Not everything." Draven said while sighing, his blood red eyes glowing slightly.

"Aw, don't worry Drav dear!" Celenia said while grabbing hold of his hand. "As soon as we kill the Schnee family and I become winter maiden, we will rule over Atlas, with me as the queen and you as the king!"

Draven grinned. "Sounds like a plan!"

Celenia suddenly kissed Draven on the cheek. Draven blushed and kissed her on the cheek back. The crimson leaves began to fall around them, but instead of glowing their beautiful color, they started to rot away.

Lovers.

Partners In Crime.

"Ew, those guys must really be in love." Nyan gagged as she peered through her binoculars at Celenia and Draven.

Unlike Jet and Daff, she seemed to have not much knowledge of what Celenia and Draven looked like.

"Nyan! Stop watching whoever you're watching and help me!" Daff said, raising her voice slightly. She was holding a box full of empty jars.

"Sorry." Nyan quickly replied, setting her binoculars down and grabbing one of the many empty jars and climbing up one of the trees, her rainbow coloured hair waving slowly in the soft breeze of Forever Fall.

She started to collect some of the ruby colored sap along with Daff. Jet stood a few metres away from them, leaning against on of the tree, gazing around the forest with no intention of sprinting away from his two former teammates.

"What... are you doing?" He questioned.

"What does it look like?" Nyan called from one of the trees, handing the sap-filled jar to Daff, who immediately placed it back into the cardboard box.

Jet shrugged and looked away, focusing on the beautiful trees which spread for miles around forever fall. He could hear the sound of an upcoming train speeding it's way down the tracks, most likely carrying cargo.

"We're collecting sap." Daff explained while smiling. "We use it in our cooking."

Jet gagged as Daff held the jar near his face. The sap looked thick and generally unappetising.

"You... eat that stuff?"

"Of course we do!" Nyan said in a plainly obvious voice. "We had it for breakfast."

Jet felt like he was going to throw up. No wonder his breakfast looked a reddish tint.

Nyan giggled and jumped off the tree, landing on her feet like perfectly. She grabbed her binoculars and laughed.

"Guys, look at these two star-crossed lovers in the forest! Holding hands!"

Jet rolled his eyes as Nyan handed him the binoculars.

"Look!" She said while sniggering. "It's like they're in some sort of princess movie or something!"

Jet's face grew pale, and his eyes widened.

"We need to leave. Now." He said, throwing the binoculars on the floor.

"HEY! DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THEY COSTED ME?!" Nyan pouted, grabbing her binoculars.

"It doesn't matter!" Jet exclaimed. "We just need to leave right now!"

"Why?" Daff asked as she picked up the cardboard box full of jars. "There's a couple of empty jars left."

"Celenia and Draven are back!" Jet said in a panicky voice, while grabbing his handgun. Daff clasped her hand to her mouth.

"We need to leave!" Jet grabbed Daff's hand along with Nyan's.

"Just were do you think your going Jet Blac?!" A cold voice yelled.

Jet gulped.

It was too late.

They had noticed him.
