"Are you sure this is a good idea, Shizu-chan?" Izaya clung to his boyfriend's arm has they held hands and walked along the sidewalk in the snow. Shizuo gently squeezed his hand.

"Don't worry about it," the blonde reassured him. "You may not be able to see it, but you can still experience it in a different way." Izaya just clung to his arm more.

"If you say so." The info broker was still doubtful as the two continued towards the Christmas festival. Originally, Izaya wasn't planning on attending as it was mostly a light show, but Shizuo insisted that they go together. Especially since neither of them knew where Kuro had run off to; not even Celty had any luck in tracking him down.

Pretty soon Izaya could tell they had arrived as he heard people gawking at the displays. He also felt Shizuo's stride slow down, so he slowed down to match him. There were a few times where they stopped, and Izaya rested his head against his boyfriend's arm.

As they continued to walk around, Shizuo could tell Izaya wasn't in the spirit. He remembered seeing the raven here in years past, absolutely mesmerized by the displays. He figured that this was his favorite part, and the depressed sigh Izaya released as he rested his head against his arm proved Shizuo right.

"C'mon," Shizuo said as he guided Izaya away from the light displays.

"Where are we going?" the raven asked, confused. Suddenly he smelt the familiar scents of Christmas pastries. "Wait.. Is this..?"

"The Festive Food Court," Shizuo gently touched Izaya's hand and gave him a Christmas treat. "You seemed a bit down, so I thought this might cheer you up." Taking a bite, Izaya perked up almost immediately.

"Wow! This is amazing!" he said, taking another bite. The two of them continued to sample the many treats that were made just for the festival; each one brightening up Izaya more.

After walking around the stands for a couple hours, Shizuo found a bench and the couple sat down to rest for a bit. Izaya huddled close to the blonde as his boyfriend wrapped his arm around him.

"You know, you were right," the raven started. "I was able to enjoy the festival in a different way. Thank you for bringing me." Shizuo smiled and kissed Izaya's cheek.

"It's the least I can do to bring some joy into my lover's heart this season," the blonde replied. "Merry Christmas, Izaya." Izaya smiled and rested his head on Shizuo's shoulder, and Shizuo rested his against Izaya's.

"Merry Christmas, Shizu-chan."
