His Fifteen Minutes[approx 3 months and 8 days since activation]

I sit on the couch in front of the TV waiting anxiously for the local news to go off and for the Mark Keller Show to come on. Even though, the news only has one minute left, it feels like an eternity. Finally though, the usual blue background to the news switches to the gold and red shimmering curtain and stage with desk that everybody knows belongs to the Mark Keller Show. The opening music that always plays blasts out and a smile unconsciously crosses my face. The music fades to a drumroll and the live studio audience goes quiet, knowing what's coming. An announcer's voice then rings out, "Ladies and gentlemen, the man you've all been waiting for, Mark Keller!" The music picks back up, louder than before and this time an electric guitar joins in as Mark Keller runs out of the curtain, hitting a pose in front of the audience, then winks at the camera.

"Hello everybody! I am honored to be able to put on another amazing show for you guys!" Mark yells out, earning a cheer from the audience. "We've got a great lineup for the night! First of all, we have international pop sensation Julie Gander!" He pauses for the crowd to once again cheer. I could personally care less about Julie Gander, I just want to hear Mark Keller's jokes and what Donovan has to say. "Alright, alright, you seem pretty excited about her, but if you thought that was exciting, wait till you hear who is coming tonight." He pauses, letting suspense build up in the crowd. "On a last minute notice, I was able to get my personal friend, successful businessman, current media icon, and all around great person to come here. That's right, Ladies and gentlemen, Donovan Cress is joining us here tonight!" The crowd goes rather crazy, it seems to be a little of a smaller reaction that Julie got, but I don't figure it will stay that way. Mark walks out farther onto the stage and begins his routine of random skits and bouts of standup comedy. Even though this is the part of the show I usually enjoy most, it just doesn't interest me tonight since I'm waiting nervously to hear what Donovan has to say. To my dismay, the interview with Julie Gander runs long, followed by her singing a seven minute long song about a horse. By the end of it all even Mark Keller looks tired of Julie. "Aaaand everyone give a huge round of applause for Julie Gander!" Mark yells as Julie sashays off of the stage. I nearly jump out of my seat, realizing what comes next. "Now, everybody welcome Donovan Cress to the stage!" He shouts, gesturing to the curtain from which Donovan appears. He smiles and waves to the crowd and camera, walking over to the interview desk with a spring in his step. Shortly before he reaches the desk, he turns to the audience and gives an overly dramatic theatre bow, to which everybody cracks up. He sits down and beams at Mark, who seems very happy for Donovan to be there instead of Julie Gander. "Well hello Donovan! Long time no see!" Mark exclaims, jumping up and embracing Donovan. He laughs, patting the late night host on the back. They let go and sit down once again.

"Glad to be here Mark, I really am." Donovan says. You can tell by the tone of his voice that he really means it too.

"So, you said you like soccer, right?" Mark asks.

"Of course! It's a great game." Donovan replies. This remark launches them both into a rather heated game of soccer with a huge inflatable soccer ball. Needless to say, multiple audience members get bonked in the head. After about five minutes of this (and a five minute commercial break) the camera shows both Mark and Donovan standing on the stage looking more serious than before.

"Now, this is usually the end of the show, but tonight we have a special extension. Donovan has asked to speak about a national issue he feels very strongly about. Donovan, take the floor." Mark says, offering Donovan his microphone. He of course, already has a clip on mic, but the mic offering is a symbolic way of giving someone else the spotlight on the Mark Keller Show.

"Thank you Mark." Donovan begins, walking to the front of the stage. "Now, as you all know, there have been countless riots lately protesting the recent advancements in robotics. Peaceful protests, though they do negatively affect the emotions of our free willed androids, are completely legal. Violent ones on the other hand, are not." He pauses, giving the words time to sink in. "Now, I personally have a friend who was threatened in one of these riots and watched her close companion be nearly ripped apart." He pauses again, expecting a gasp, but instead, he gets soft murmuring from the crowd. "I would like to call for change. They have emotions, personalities, and almost every human quality you can name off, so what makes them different from us other than the "stuff" of their making? Even then, we're all comprised of the same table of elements." He pauses again, but when he goes to speak more, his clip on microphone doesn't work. Mark then walks up, flipping on his own microphone.

"Donovan, they're robots. Who cares if they get destroyed, we can build more. Who cares if they have emotions and such, it's all artificial and could be easily changed with a couple keystrokes of a computer's keyboard." His voice is low, almost angry. Donovan whirls around to face Mark, a sudden rage lighting up his eyes. He smashes his hands down on the desk between them.

"Well, Mark have you ever gotten the chance to speak to one, get to know one? Because I'll tell you right now, if nobody told you they were a robot you wouldn't be able to tell the difference! I've seen perfect examples of completely human emotions from them! I've seen agonizing sadness, confusion, frustration, and much more! I can't believe you have the nerve to stand here and tell me we're not the same!" Donovan shouts. Mark smiles nervously and turns to the audience.

"Well, that's all the time we have tonight! TURN OFF THE CAMERA PLEASE!" And with that the screen goes black.
