〜Pov Unknown〜

"Once upon a time, long, long ago, well more like 20 years ago, belle married her beast in front of 6,000 of their closest personal friends, big cake. Yeah, so instead of a honeymoon, beast untied all the kingdoms and got him self elected king of untied states of Auradon. He rounded up all the villains and sidekicks basically all the interesting people and he booted them to the isle of the lost with a magical barrier to keep them there. This is my hood, no magic, no wi-fi, no way out. Or so I thought...hang on you're about to meet us. But first this happened."

〜Mattia's Pov 〜

I was looking at the Isle of the lost from my window while I was getting fitted for my coronation that I'm having next month. I was just thinking about how life is on the isle of the lost the only thing that I know about it is that they are all poor and don't have fresh fruit or any sweets.
My thoughts were interrupted by my mother and father walking into my bedroom

Beast boomed, his voice echoing through the grand hall. "Crowned king next month? You're barely more than a cub!" Belle's lips pursed. "He'll be eighteen, dear," she corrected gently.

Hey, pops," I greeted casually, hoping to lighten the mood.

The Beast snorted. "Eighteen? Far too young for such a burden. I wasn't capable of a decent decision until I was at least..." he trailed off, muttering, "forty-two, at least."

Belle couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. "Uh,you decided to marry me at twenty-eight." A sheepish grin replaced my dads scowl. "Ah, well, it was either you or a teapot. Just teasing, love."

ignoring their banter, I cleared my throat. "So, about my first official proclamation as king..." I started, then walked over to the window. The Isle of the Lost loomed on the horizon, a constant reminder of the darkness that existed just beyond Auradon's borders. "I decided that the children on the isle of the lost be given a chance to live here in Auradon. Every time I look out to the island, I feel like they've been abandoned."

Dad's voice boomed again. "The children of our enemies? Living here, in Auradon? That's insane!"

I clenched my fists. "We can start small, Dad. Just a few who need our help the most. I've already chosen them."

"Chosen them, have you?" His tone was laced with suspicion.Mom placed a hand on his arm, her touch calming. "hey," she said softly, "remember when I was given a second chance?"

I glanced at her, grateful for her support. Dad looked thoughtful for a moment, then turned back to me. "Who are their parents?" he finally asked.

I took a deep breath. "Cruella De Vil, Jafar, the Evil Queen, Captain Hook, Gaston... and Maleficent." The name hung heavy in the air. Maleficent. The worst of them all. Even saying her name sent shivers down my spine.

"Maleficent!" Dad roared. "This is madness! Absolutely not!"

"Dad, please," I pleaded. "They're just kids. They haven't done anything wrong. Don't they deserve a chance to be good?"

The room fell silent. I watched Dad's face, a storm of emotions flickering across it. Finally, he met Mom's gaze. In her eyes, I saw a flicker of hope, a silent belief in my idea.

With a sigh that seemed to carry the weight of the world, Dad relented. "Fine," he grumbled. "Suppose they are innocent."

Relief flooded through me. "Yes!" I exclaimed, a wide grin splitting my face. Maybe, just maybe, this could actually work.

Mom smiled too. "Well then," she said, her voice filled with warmth, "shall we discuss the details?" And with that they left my room.

I wrote this back in like 2020 I think and it was horrendous so I decided to rewrite to today. But no promises that this will be finished. I got through the first 3-5 chapters before I gave up back in 2020, lets hope I have good world building skills <3
